Concerts anyone?

Anyone wants to go either of the concerts?

Angela Chang - 张韶涵's concert? 1 June 8pm.

Gary Cao Ge - 曹格's concert? 12 July 8pm.
It's actually quite shiok to turn up the subwoofer to the max and blast music at home while singing out loud.

Went down town to do some shopping. Quite tempted to buy shirts from Zara since there are quite a lot on sale, but I reckon have too many shirts.

Bought a pair of casual leather shoes from my new favourite shoe shop. Not very expensive and it makes it even more attractive since I redeemed a $20 voucher from UOB rewards. (I love their paper bag too.)

Papering was quite nice too. Although it's never really an interest of mine to make cards and scrapbooks. The positive influence from the dear has been phenomenal. Haha. I just need more of the creative touch.

I still want to sing K.

Emo Nemo

I forgot where I'd seen the "emo nemo" thingy, but I think it's quite catchy. Haha

Ya anyway, I'm feeling damn emo.

There are so many reasons that I could think of that is causing this emotional upheaval in me.

Perhaps it's because results are going to be released in 6 days time and I just have this feeling that I'll screw up. Furthermore, I know I could have put in more effort into it.

Perhaps it is due to work? After interning for 3 weeks, I've found out that I really detest desk-bound jobs. As what Na said, it could be the environment that make me feel that way. That I can't tell, I haven't been in any job that is desk-bound and fast paced. It's all the site/estate visits/inspections that makes me excited.

Maybe it isn't so simple. Maybe it just isn't such a micro view but rather a macro view of my life. My accomplishments thus far. Even though I'm into my 3rd year after hitting 20, I still feel kiddish. I'm an adult by legislation but still an emerging adult by theory. My mental maturity way surpass many of my peers, but thinking and talking shows nothing. I need to walk the walk, rather than just talk the talk.

On hindsight, I think it could also be due to my social life. Maybe I'm not sufficiently satisfied with my social life at the moment. After all, man is a social creature. Although we got the island, no man is an island.

I used to think I understood myself. But now, I don't know.

I have a secret. It's not a secret to some.
I've let the cat out a few times, perhaps I should let it be free?

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions of iphone and itouch. Think it is quite off my budget at the moment. But whatever the case, I'll let my results decide on the commodity to purchase or maybe even not buy any of them.

dilemma

Should I buy a PSP or an Ipod?

Since my Zen micro is dying.
Glory glory Manchester United!

Certain things aren't what they seem. But over these couple of days, I've enjoyed work so much more than the 1st 2 weeks. No doubt it is the company that matters most.

However, one thing really pissed me off. If you want me to help you with your work, at least have the courtesy to ask me personally. At the very least, give me a call.
Whatever. I think my junior senior should understand what I mean if she ever reads this. Haha.

background

I've taken out the bg pic.
Because it looks weird on different resolutions. Haha.

Till I can make a nicer version.

By taking out the knob and installing a new knob, I've learnt the easy way of dismantling a door knob. It is damn easy. =/
Its almost 2am. I'm going to wake up at 0530.

Just went on a mission break my dad's room door, because he was trapped inside as the knob was faulty.

Tools involved, hammer (which was half broken before the door broke.) screwdrivers and pliers and a raging bull such as myself.

This is a time when you wished you had bought the electric drill that you saw so many times and I think I need to acquire a hammer and chisel in my personal toolbox. Maybe a saw would be good too.

Anyway, Na and I saw a convertible drove past us and its bonnet suddenly flung open. What a rare sight. I think something inside broke too. Luckily there wasn't any vehicle in front or behind the car.

Vegas

What happens in Vegas is quite a nice show.

Romantically funny.

I'm a purple monster.
ROAR!
I wanted to blog about something.

But I forgot.

Anyway, meeting today was quite okay. Settled most of the stuff.
First time the whole team was around! =) And we had the honour of Ben joining us.
Okay la, not very honorable also la. He is our sai gang warrior. Quite poor thing la, President of the Society and yet being bullied to do stuff for us. Haha

Found out that KM have something going on with Gwen. haha. So coincidental.

YF is damn nice to talk to actually. lol.
Sorry bro, I only realised it yesterday and confirmed about it today.
Yeah I totally agree that optimism is king.

I think I can be a part time webmaster if most of the code is done and all I have to do is modify and edit. Haha

Parma relegated.
Milan no Champs League spot.
Hmm. Something I won't normally expect.

Calamities in Si Chuan and Myanmar are taking too many lives. Isn't it time for it to stop yet? Kudos to all the rescue workers out there and all those people giving aid to them.

Are these signs for something more devastating that has yet to come? I don't know.

Seriously.

I think we need to really do something abt the ed. sys. Our younger generation are being too spoon fed. It will get to a point whereby, things have to be IVed into their bloodstream instead of feeding them with the spoon.

Arts Open was tiring. Talking to people makes me thirsty easily. After talking to 1 grp of people, I have to drink 1 cup of water. I drank more than 10 cups today. Some things about the ppl coming in turns me off. I shall not say out specifically.

Minggu Kedua (2nd wk)

Another week gone.

Time flies. It seems like yesterday that I just started my internship at JRTC.
But it is already 2 weeks.

I'm really quite tired after all the waking up at 0530. But I guess I'm getting used to this bit by bit. Been attending On the Job Trainings (OJT) with the other new perm staff. Didn't really pay attention to most of the things la.

Didn't have much substantial stuff to do actually. So I just help out here and there.

Getting along quite well with my colleagues. At the very least I have been lunching alone less. =)
Just got jio-ed to join them for 'special lunches' here and there. =D

Just got psychoed to join YP, the branch near my workplace. I'll be going to check/help out their MPS next next monday.

Early today, went out with Satwant to check on the ongoing projects' progress. Went to check whether the specs of the covered linkways/walkways and whether the BFA are in accordances to the regulations.

In the afternoon, went down to a fire scene today with Minhat and Winnie. Although I didn't do anything besides talking to one resident, the CD and Police Officers and my 2 colleagues. They're really nice people too, and Minhat is damn funny. Haha.

At least it wasn't the same old issuing of work orders and the checking of arrears for Theva and Ghazali, which is damn boring. However, it is still better to do those stuff then to be zobolaning la.

It is good to know a little bahasa indonesia because they use malay quite often, so I can pick out a few words here and there.

Somehow, I feel that Singapore's Education system needs to be slightly revamped.

It doesn't teaches stress management. Creating a lot of Kan Cheong Bananas or my more familar phrase, Kan Cheong Spiders.

Don't ask me how. This is just a suggestion. Too much emphasis on practicality.

Chop chop ka li pok doesn't work all the time.

Really dont know what to say.

Jack asked about it. He said it seemed pretty serious.

I don't know about that. But he understands what I meant.

But I thought I understood how I felt. But now, it is starting to elude me. I don't even know what is real. I said something +ve to him that day, but now I'm not sure how +ve those +ve things are actually. Or whether it is +ve in the first place.

Apparently there is no difference whether I exist or not.

Sometimes I really wonder why I even bother saying anything.
Because nothing gets registered.

It has reached a point I'm no longer disappointed.

I'm disgusted.

Anyway, Jack has left for the States for his Work and Play in US Prog. Thanks for the concern buddy.

I hope you'll take good care of yourself and come back safely. I'm sure the gang won't mind loads of presents. Haha. Enjoy yourself and I hope you'll gain something worthwhile from this trip! =)

Seeya in 3 months!

*Edit

na: I ALSO DUN MIND THE PRESENTS! =p*

Lost postage?

I always have this suspicions of "XXX will not be held responsible for any Items Lost During Normal Postage delivery."

What are the chances of losing your mail in SINGAPORE? SingPost is quite efficient one lea.

I'm not saying online shops out there are cheating people, but it is possible to have some dishonest people.

So to be safe, opt for registered mail.

But so far, I've tried both la.

Pai Lang Bin

My colleague, Raymond said this to me last week.

Li wu pai lang bin, zo zheng hu gang jin jia ho. Au bai lao tam po chui qiu ko ka sat ki.

Translated to, "You have a bad guy face, you'll make a good civil servant. You'll look more fierce with a bit of moustache."

Haha.

To QY: Wah lau. You flooding my tagboard la. Haha. Eh, true I agree you have to pay good to get your Kaka, else you'll end up with a Kuku. They should know that really talented people wouldn't settle for such peanuts. Thats why they have to squeeze you now to make their 'investment' worthwhile. I'm sure they know many would zao after the bond or even buy out the bond la. But as long as they can psycho a few to stay on beyond or have a constant supply of 'I will leave after 4 years talent', I think they can still survive la.

I tried

I really tried to connect with you all.
But I feel more like a tool then anything else.

Maybe it isn't the best option I made. But I'm a patient man.
I'll just slowly fade out when the time is appropriate.

But I won't walk out now.

Friday, May 09, 2008

Some things are a little disappointing.

Maybe I'm a disappointment and a let down too.

I really need to catch up on sleep. Haven't felt so shagged in months even though my job isn't tough. The boredom is catching up on me.

Their tempo is too slow. Hopefully next week would be better. I don't want to be a temp admin assistant.

Work is getting a bit more interesting because I'm having slightly more things to do.
I've gaining more insight towards their operation. Getting along quite well with some of the colleagues. However, some are just too difficult to approach and they have this "you owe me 10 billion USD face".

On course tmr. I wonder how it would be like.

Met up with Shaun, Jeremy, Javin, Felicia, Clarice, Wen Ling, Meihui and Shulin today for dinner at Timbre today. The ambience and food wasn't bad. However, I just don't like the way they try means and ways to "pressure" you to leave. I'll give 2/5 stars for service. And perhaps 4.5/5 for food and ambience.

Will probably go there later next time to see the live band.
